Hi Greg & Rob

Obviously further south, but we had 4 Australasian Gannets seen on the Port
Stephens pelagic on the 20th January. Both adult and immature were seen.

Rob Morris has advised me that in 25 years he had not had any summer records
of Australasian Gannets off Southport, Queensland. I checked my records and
found that I only had early spring records, but no summer records of
Australasian Gannets in northern NSW so I withdraw my earlier comment.

Hi Stephen,

I wouldn't rule out Australasian Gannet on season as some young birds remain
after the adults have flown off to their breeding grounds in New Zealand.
