Indeed - after all if a species always bred "true" - ie the offspring were
exactly the same species as their parents - we would never get any
evolution going on. So all children will be very slightly different from
their parents and over time this may or may not lead to new "species"
evolving - but the precise moment when this happens would be just about
impossible to pin point!
