Sun 30 Dec	Australian Spotted Crake Lake Galletly The crake was still present this afternoon (a bit distant). Also a nice male Blue-billed Duck and 2 Little Grasbirds. Rob Morris
	Australian Painted Snipe Lake Clarendon At least 6 birds this evening in the paddock near the canal (but not near the water due to cattle disturbance). 2 females and others male / imm. Rob Morris
	Australian Painted Snipe Atkinson's Dam Inlet canal 4 birds this afternoon. 1 female the other 3 male / imm Rob Morris
Sat 29 Dec	Asian Dowitcher Port of Brisbane Bird still present at high tide roost today Stuart Pickering, Dave Mitford, Colin Reid, Stuart Warren, Rob Doughtery
	Fork-tailed Swift Carindale 3-4 birds seen among small flock of White-throated Needletails over Old Cleveland Road. Lots of Needletails seen later over my house in Camp Hill Stuart Pickering and Dave Mitford
	Blue-billed Duck Kelly's Swamp (Kelly Road, Lockyer Valley) At least a dozen - a high count in SEQ. Telescope required for accurate count. Rounding off this set of reports from the Lockyer today, the Australian Crake is still showing well at Lake Galletly, which this morning was also hosting 500+ Magpie Geese Andrew Stafford
	Stubble Quail Banool Road, Seven Mile Lagoon 2 flushed by roadside. Many Banded Lapwings still present Andrew Stafford
	White-winged Black Tern Atkinson's Dam 2 birds among Whiskered Terns seen from near dam wall on Boyce's Rd Andrew Stafford
	Australian Painted Snipe Lake Clarendon 5 roosting in culvert on Lake Clarendon Way at midday until flushed into paddock by herd of cows coming to drink! Andrew Stafford
	Australasian Hobby Strong Road, Dayboro Single bird observed in dead tree behind creek line just before bridge over creek. Have seen a pair of Hobbies on this road previously, also perched in large dead trees. Andrew Sutherland
Fri 28 Dec	Black-breasted Button-quail, White-eared Monarch Inskip Point 2 (possibly 3) females and 2 males seen adjacent to the walking trail that runs to the end of the point. White-eared Monarch also in the area. Todd Burrows
Thu 27 Dec	Black-necked Stork Swamp near Warrill. 27 50 13 x 152 36 57. Cunningham H'way 2 Adults plus one young brown bird. Highway to Warwick. June Harris
	Black-necked Stork Lake Samsonvale Nice to see a Black-necked Stork (male) at the lake this morning. Also 3+ King Quail and 4+ Red-backed Button-quail again but none walking around in the open today! Rob Morris
Wed 26 Dec	Oriental Cuckoo Anstead Bushland Reserve Oriental Cuckoo (at least 3) Seen in similar locations to previous sitings. Rebecca Ryan
Wed 26 Dec	Australian Painted-snipe Lake Clarendon School Just to confirm Chris Wiley's Xmas Eve sighting, six birds present on Boxing-Day near culvert. Tom & Marie Tarrant
	Australian (Spotted) Crake Lake Galletly Still present on Boxing-Day (Rufous Songlark, Little Grassbird and Rufous Night-Heron recorded too) Tom & Marie Tarrant
	Plum-headed Finch, Australasian Bushlark, Brown Songlark Jahnke's Lagoon Pair of PHFI near intersection of Lake Clarendon and Gatton-Esk Rds (coords -27.538259, 152.323671) BRSL and SIBL singing in surrounding paddocks. Tom & Marie Tarrant
Mon 24 Dec	Beach Thick-knee Cylinder Beach, North Stradbroke Island Unusual to see a bird this afternoon on this very busy beach. The first I've seen in the Point Lookout area for a while. Nick Leseberg
	Australian Painted Snipe Lake Clarendon At the risk of boring everyone with painted snipe observations, there was a group of seven today roosting in the drainage channel flowing under Green Swamp Rd near the Lake Clarendon school. This gave me a total of 10 in one day! Chris Wiley
	Australian Painted Snipe Lake Atkinson This morning, there were three painted snipe (one female + two 'males') foraging in the channel flowing into/out of Lake Atkinson at -27.414, 152.428. Chris Wiley
	Black-tailed Native-hen, Australian Little Bittern, Spotless Crake, Black-necked Stork Ewen Maddock Dam, Sunshine Coast 1 Black-tailed Native-hen in same spot where I found it 6 weeks ago; 1 Australian Little Bittern, 2 Spotless Crake, 1 Black-necked Stork found dead, apparently shot Greg Roberts
	King Quail, Red-backed Button-quail, Lewin's Rail, Baillon's Crake, Spotless Crake Lake Samsonvale 6 King Quail (inc a male and female in the open on the track - photo is a male with an insert of a female), 1 female Red-backed Button-quail, (h) Lewin's Rail, 2 Baillon's Crake, 2 Spotless Crake And Liitle Grassbird Rob Morris
Sun 23 Dec	Asiatic Dowitcher Port of Brisbane Wader Roost The Asiatic Dowitcher was still present at the roost, feeding in front of the bird hide adjacent to the car park Andrew Sutherland
