Published sightings for the week ending 11 Nov 2012.

Sun 11 Nov Wonga Pigeon, Olive Whistler Bendora Dam Road
Wonga Pigeon (1) Heard ivo Pipeline road intersection) and one (possibly two) Olive Whistlers observed early this morning.

Sat 10 Nov Freckled Duck, Cattle Egret Kellys Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Fyshwick
17 Freckled Duck on the swamp. Also 20 Cattle Egret.

Sat 10 Nov Australian Painted Snipe West Belconnen Pond
Female present on the northernmost island (west side) at around 09.00. Also, Pacific Heron (2), Cattle Egret (1).

Fri 9 Nov White-necked heron Birdline Australian Capital Territory
Single bird, leaving dam opposite church at Tharwa.

A single bird flying north towards Barry Drive

Tue 6 Nov Southern Whiteface Goorooyarroo Nature Reserve, Gungahlin, ACT
Southern Whiteface - 2 in grassland near eastern boundary. Other spp included Pallid and Shining Bronze-Cuckoos, Superb Parrots (probably nesting), Speckled Warbler. White-eared Honeyeater and Golden Whistler both seen, more typical in winter. Also Stone Gecko, Euros (12), Dark Purple Azure (butterfly), Golden Sun Moth.

2 Rainbow Bee-eaters near Sandwash area Tharwa.

Baillon's Crake, Intermediate Egret Jerrabomberra Wetlands
Six sightings at the same spot in front of Bittern hide over several hours (probably the same bird) and one Intermediate Egret

Buff-banded Rail Kellys Swamp, Jerrabomberra Wetlands
Observed directly below Cygnus hide. Single Black-tailed Native-hen still present, 3 Pink-eared Duck, 3 Lathams Snipe.
