Hi Jeff,
I couldn't access your photos for some reason - I'm an Elder at Avondale
Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cooranbong and have few runs on the
board with waders, so would like to see your images.
I'm guessing you'll have P. fulva as your most common Pluvialis sp. with a few
P. squatarola thrown in (look for black under the wing on the flanks and
tertials - also greyer and chunkier bird than P. fulva). P. dominica are a rare
vagrant in our region, but not out of the question - it is hard to pick, but a
significant primary extension past the tail and broad light brow with less
golden hues overall are the key indicators from P. fulva.
