Hi all, The highlight of this past Saturday's SOSSA Pelagic trip off Wollongong was a juvenile Grey-headed Albatross. Also of note were both White-fronted and Common Terns. Very interesting were swarming krill causing large red patches on the ocean surface. The full report will be uploaded to the SOSSA website soon: http://www.sossa-international.org/forum/content.php?114-pelagic-reports ; I also posted one of Raja's pictures here: http://www.sossa-international.org/forum/showthread.php?156-juvenile-Grey-headed-Albatross&p=302#post302 ; Cheers, Nikolas P.S. No, I was not on today's SOSSA Pelagic, when they had a South Polar Skua (see Eremaea) ---------------- Nikolas Haass Sydney, NSW =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
