Spotted Harrier - Adult flew low over Kellys Swamp from the west, teal and coot went in every direction!

Wonga Pigeon (1) Single bird flushed from side of road. Photographed in large Stringybark tree. Very dark colouration. [Moderator's comment: There have been very few records of this species since the 2003 fires.]

Latham's Snipe and Nankeen Night-Heron,
Kellys Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Fyshwick
My first Latham's Snipe of the season (last year first returnee was observed on 20/8).
Also now 7 Nankeen Night-Herons (one on the swamp and 6 perched in a willow on Jerrabomberra Creek).
