I also use Birdsight AU but it could use a few improvements. Annoying little
things like when you want to add a new location you tap on "Add a new
Location" and it opens a new page with the "Name" field already filled
with "New Location" and the cursor flashing after the second word. Why not
just leave the field empty?
Similarly when you want to add some notes for an individual observation the
Notes field opens with the word "none" in it and you have to backspace 4
times to clear it.
I have emailed the developer(s) more than once but received no reply.
I fear its use for uploading direct to sites such as Eremaea or eBird would
be limited by changes in the taxonomy given their apparent reluctance to
update.

We have used Birdsight for some years and found it useful. We also
work from a Mac. However it has some problems at present. A bug
which was corrected in 2010 caused the app to crash when you tried to
email results. This has resurfaced and a number of queries has not
resulted in any action.
