Published sightings for the week ending 5 Aug 2012.

Sat 4 Aug Australian Pelican, Rainbow Lorikeet, Pallid Cuckoo Turners Beach
Australian Pelican (7) seen near the river mouth, highest personal count from this site, normally a few individuals up river and at the nearby sewage works. Rainbow Lorikeet (4) flying over railway crossing Pallid Cuckoo (1) overwintering, individual near Gables Park Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike (2) overwintering, seen on wires near railway crossing

Wed 1 Aug Azure Kingfisher Inglis River, Wynyard, downstream from Bass Hwy.
Sp also seen on Sisters Ck from footbridge in Sisters Beach, ie just before creek spills into sea, on 29 Jul. Reasonable chance here of a sighting for the patient observer.

Sat 28 Jul Fan-tailed Cuckoo, Rainbow Lorikeet Devonport Airport
A wintering Fan-tailed Cuckoo heard calling. Rainbow Lorikeet (17) observed flying over the Devonport airport car park.
