Thu 26 Jul Southern Boobook (Morepork) Mt Nelson
Received a call from my brother last night to say that a boobook was calling near his house. We had heard this species calling here the previous summer.

Wed 25 Jul Black-Fronted Dotterel Greens Point Beach, Marrawah
Two birds. Sp not often seen in saline environment, especially on open ocean wave platform.

Tue 17 Jul Red-rumped Parrot (deceased) New Norfolk
Bird found dead in barn by a local resident. Some aberrant plumage characteristics strongly suggest it was an escaped cage-bird.
