Restless Flycatcher, Pacific Baza, Little Lorikeets and Rose Robin
Brisbane Forest Park - Arcauraria Track
Had some problems finding the Restless Flycatcher. Got a nice recording of the scissor grinding call before it eventually showed itself high up in the canopy. Very different behaviour in comparison with birds you see down south where the commonest places to see them would be much lower down, on fence posts etc. Two Pacific Baza showed well flying over the lake and a small flock of Little Lorikeets gave nice views. Saw female Rose Robin and had an Eastern Spinebill sitting/flitting in a low bush. STACKS of Button-quail platelets - most we have seen, but no sightings of Painted or Black-breasted BQs

Rose Robin
Durikai State Forest
Rose Robin (1) Female near small dam at 28 11.747'S, 151 36.748É. First I've seen here, and, surprisingly, first record for this site on eremaea.
