Two birds dueting at 2.00am in rainforest around Lodge buildings for about 20 minuets before moving away. This species has become progressively rarer over the last seven years in the area with 10 sightings in 2006, 2 in 2007, none in 2008 and 2009, 3 in 2010 and one in April 2011.

Cape Barron Goose Lake Tinaroo shore at Yungaburra Nth Qld
Unusual sighting and appears to be an escaped bird as it was very approachable and not over wary. Have contacted a number of sancturaries and no one appears to keep them. Would anyone know where it may have escaped from or is it really an unusual visitor.
