Kingfisher Park Birdwatchers Lodge, Julatten, QLD
Single bird flew over the Lodge at 15.30 calling. This is only the 4th record since 2005. Previous records were 18/ 9/2005, 24/ 5/2009,
21/ 8/2011.

Singles. Unusual for location, especially the Pied in FNQ.

Masked Lapwing
Cooya Beach area, (Bonnie Doon Road0.
Flock of 106+ on bare sugar cane field which had been flooded during the previous week.
Unusually high for region.

Black-throated Finch
Emerald Creek
4PM a group of 6 Black-throated finches were along the Emerald Creek Road at creek crossing a km or so before the car-park/picnic area.

Square-tailed Kite
Mareeba
The square-tailed kite is still banging around at the reported Peter's St site. Bird moving from building tops to tree tops at 3PM with attendant. Thanks for the tip Enoch! (This is a regular area for sightings of this species - moderator)
