Kevin,
The best field guide is the Princeton Field Guide by Thomas Schulenberg etal
(hard cover) which I used on my trip a couple of years ago. I have other
field guides for South America, such as Birds of Northern South America, but
the Princeton field guide is by far the best. Note that there are some
recent new additions to the Peru list, such as Brazilian Teal, which are not
in the field guide and some of these are mentioned in my trip report

Regards,
Bruce

Subject: South America/Peru Field Guide or App
We are going to South America ,mainly Peru and , of course ,will do some
birding.
Would appreciate advice if anyone is aware of a suitable Field Guide App .
What are the best choices for field guide please . Is the Birds of Peru
Princetown Field Guide best bet ?
Thanks
Kevin
