Streaked Shearwater
Lawlers Mine, Western Australia
A Streaked Shearwater turned up at Lawlers Mine, just south west of Leinster in WA, no doubt blown in by the Cat 4 cyclone of Broome. Not all that unheard of...but ironically a Sooty Tern was located at almost the same spot 2 hours later! The Tern is not in the best of shape, but the shearwater has been placed on a plane for Perth.
