Following up Tom Tarrant and Hagai Loyewski's post from Sunday, I headed out to Rush Creek Road near Dayboro (that's about an hour north-west of Brisbane) this morning. After a bit of rummaging around, I sprung the hepatic Oriental Cuckoo, close to the water board gate from where two birds were originally reported. It's the first Oriental Cuckoo I've seen in south-east Queensland for many a year. Thanks to Tom and Hagai for finding and passing on the location of this very scarce migrant. Cheers Andrew =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
