This year's breeding at Melaleuca has produced 12 juveniles so far. Twenty one adults were observed at the start of the summer ie 33 known birds. Three females of the 21 adults are unaccounted for and believed to have been breeding somewhere else in the range. At Taroona breeding facility, the total number fledged is 24, bringing the number in captivity to around 100. Results from other breeding facilities have not yet been released. =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
