In my opinion, they are Sanderlings, I think juveniles.

G’day all,

Just been sifting through my photos from a recent trip to Darwin. Lee Point was 
chocka-block with waders and, surprisingly, I was pretty confident identifying 
most of the birds.

A couple of them stumped me so I’m asking for your help. I won’t even venture a 
guess as I have probably thought too hard about it now.
