Hi All,

Just spent a whirlwind 6 days in the NT, birding around Darwin, Kakadu, 
Katherine, Vic River, Timber Creek and Mataranka. In order of sites visited, 
highlights as follows:

Knuckey Lagoons - Little Curlew, Marsh Sandpiper, Wood Sandpiper
Buffalo Creek - Chestnut Rail (heard), Little Kingfisher, Large-tailed 
Nightjar, Yellow White-eye
Lee Point - Varied Lorikeet, Beach Thick-knee, Brown Booby
Leanyer STW - Yellow Wagtail, Mangrove Robin, Mangrove Golden Whistler
Pine Creek - Hooded Parrot, Bar-breasted Honeyeater
Plum Tree Creek - Chestnut-quilled Rock-Pigeon, Sandstone Shrike-Thrush, 
White-lined Honeyeater
Nourlangie Rock - Banded Fruit-Dove, Peregrine Falcon
Yellow Waters - Little Kingfisher, Black Bittern, Marsh Sandpiper
Victoria River - Purple-crowned Fairywren, Black-breasted Buzzard, 
Yellow-rumped Mannikin, Barking Owl
Timber Creek - Pictorella Mannikin, Gouldian Finch, Star Finch, Red-backed 
Kingfisher, Red-browed Pardalote, Spinifex Pigeon, Little Eagle, Oriental Plover
Mataranka - Red Goshawk at the nest with a chick
Edith Falls Rd - Hooded Parrot, Gouldian Finch
Copperfield Dam - Chestnut-backed Buttonquail
Pine Creek STW - Australian Bustard, Wood Sandpiper

So that's the highlights. If anyone would like any more info, please let me
