Everyone,

I haven't noticed anyone else posting their Top 10 Birding Sites on birding_aus
so I thought I might get things rolling.
I apologise to everyone in South Australia as I have never birded your state
(or ticked off Chestnut-breasted Whiteface). Nor have I birded Cape York.
In no particular order.

1) Werribee STW, Vic: for all the obvious reasons.
2) Mt. Lewis, Qld: Wet tropic endemics and other goodies.
3) Bowra Station, Qld: Hall's, CBQT, Grey Falcon etc.
4) Kununurra, WA: Finches and other northern goodies.
5) Cheyne Beach, WA: Possible to see Whipbird, Scrub-bird and Bristlebird in a
morning.
6) Darwin area, NT: Chestnut Rail, Rufous Owl, Rainbow Pitta.
7) Borah TSR, NSW: Threatened woodland species.
8) Lake Cargelligo area, NSW: Mallee and western species.
9) Hobart, Tas: All the Tassie endemics within 20km.
10) Cairns, Qld: Esplanade, Centenary Lakes, mangroves, rainforest etc

Cheers
Grant Brosie
Maitland, NSW
