Greetings,
Red-necked Crake showing well at Lake Barrine in the Gardens. A bird I saw here about a month and a half ago was very shy. This bird seemed little concerned for the foot traffic around the place but you could not call it tame.

The Golden Bowerbirds which I am watching have both been seen around their bowers but have not started decorating. Yasi may not have killed them but the reduced fruiting as a result of the storm may have set them back.

Tooth-billed Bowerbird seen today feeding on Belvisia mucronata. They seem to have a preference for ferns when they are eating leaves at this time of year.

Regards,
Alan
