Black-shouldered Kite, Little Grassbird
Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant
A Black-shouldered Kite (1) and Little Grassbird observed this morning. Also the number of Hardhead (7) is increasing and Black-fronted Dotterel (6) decreasing from last week as the water levels vary and mud flats are either exposed or flooded.

Painted Button-quail
Campbell Park Reserve
A single female Painted Button-quail seen this morning. My first in probably 100 visits. Other highlights 1 Jacky Winter, 4 Common Bronzewing, 2 juvenile Wedge-tailed Eagles, at least 8 Flame Robins, a Peregrine and a hybrid Eastern/Crimson Rosella.

Rose Robin
Australian National Botanic Gardens
One male Rose Robin near Section 17 of the gardens. Tried to get a better picture but an Eastern Yellow Robin decided it was more photogenic and chased the Rose Robin off.

Superb Parrot (Polytelis swainsonii)
Kippax Place, Holt
Two birds, a male and a female, feeding on seed pods in deciduous street trees on the eastern side of the shopping centre - the same trees in which John Layton reported 6 feeding Superb Parrots in July 2009.
