Hi all, I posted this to ozbirdpix this morning and wondered how birding-aus
members felt about it ?

Subject: [ozbirdpix] What has happened ?

When Ozbirdpix started up in 2003/04 there were a number of bird image
contributors who posted some absolutely marvellous pictures of birds, and
over the years I developed quite a large gallery of wonderful shots of all
sorts of birds.

However, in recent times these beautiful contributions seem have dwindled
to pretty much a standstill, and I find this to be a great loss.

In order to confirm my thoughts I had a look at the ozbirdpix website (
) and found a table of contributions from 2003
thru to the present time. As can be seen from that table the activity level
has in fact just about ceased. I find this very disappointing and would like
to ask as to why this might have happened? I can't believe that people have
run out of birds to photograph. Have some other problems arisen which have
remained unresolved and if so what could now be done to overcome them and
get the pictures flowing again?

I have never been a picture contributor myself as I don't consider anything
I've ever produced to be good enough for publication, but I have really
enjoyed the work of others in the past and miss the beautiful pictures
people have posted . It would be really wonderful if things could be got
going again - please.

Tony.
