Little Mulgrave Valley, Gordonvale
One Wedge-tailed Eagle being mobbed by approx 150 Sulphur-crested Cockatoos. Unbelievable noise. No wonder we never see them here if this is the reception that they get.

Townsville Town Common Conservation Park
Channel-billed Cuckoo (2) In fig (growing from rock) on access track to dam wall (Pallarenda end of Towncommon). Another bird seen on the road to Pallerenda at about the turn for the main Town Common entrance.

Another visit from presumably the same bird reported Friday 6th. 5pm feeding on ripe palm berries.

Gununa, Mornington Island
Seen at regular intervals; overwintering 2008-2011. Also reported in past years in winter at Lawn Hill and Pungalina in the NT.
