Location: 'Kindaruar Lagoon'. Junction of Kindaruar Road and Clayton Milang Rd, 
mid way between Clayton and Milang.

Whiskered Tern (Chlidonias hybrida) (6) First Whiskered Terns we have seen in 
the Goolwa/Lakes for a long time.

Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus) (20) Another species that we have 
not seen in this area for a while.

Double-banded Plover (Charadrius bicinctus) (25) roosting in seaweed on beach 
at high tide

Red Knot (Calidris canutus) (6) two birds in full breeding plumage-roost on 
beach with small number of other migratory waders

Great Knot (Calidris tenuirostris) (4) basic plumage

Curlew Sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea) (1) basic plumage

Bar-tailed Godwit (Limosa lapponica) (1) basic plumage

Eastern Reef Egret (Egretta sacra) (1) roosting with white-faced Herons and 
Oystercatcher spp.

White-bellied Sea-Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster) (2) third year plumage-not 
fully adult

Grey Plover (Pluvialis squatarola) (5) non-breeding plumage

Red-necked Stint (Calidris ruficollis) (100) several with partial breeding 
plumage

Hooded Plover (Charadrius rubricollis) (1) adult

Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo (Chrysococcyx basalis) (1) Perched in large gum at 
the edge of the winery tank farm for around 4 hours, calling constantly before 
moving on.

Location: Greenfields Wetlands - near Watershed Trails Entrance

Brown Quail (Coturnix ypsilophora) (5) 5 (or more) seen multiple times over 20 
minutes. Exact location - Enter the locked gate to the trails (electronic pass 
available from Watershed Cafe), cross the first wooden bridge, turn immediately 
right and watch through the locked gate onto the management track. The birds 
were making brief feeding forays onto the track and then disappearing on either 
side before reappearing a few minutes later. A few calls heard.

Location: Gluepot Reserve

Red-lored Whistler (Pachycephala rufogularis) (4) 2 sightings at 2 different 
places. The first one involved a fully uncoloured individual, a partly coloured 
singing individual and a fully coloured singing male. The second sighting, some 
10 km away from the 1st site, was of a fully coloured, singing male.

Black-eared Miner (Manorina melanotis) (10) Flock of 10 or more hybrids and 
Black-eared Miners along track 8

Striated Grasswren (Amytornis striatus) (2) A pair performing very well.
Other nice birds seen today included White-browed Treecreeper, Gilbert's 
Whistler, Shy Heathwren, Chestnut Quail-thrush, Southern Scrubrobin, 
White-eared Honeyeater and large flocks of Masked and White-browed Woodswallows.

Chestnut-rumped Thornbill (Acanthiza uropygialis) (1) Single bird (possibly 
another) seen well feeding in mixed flock with Yellow-rumped and Buff-rumped 
Thornbills.
