Cape Barren Goose
Thompson Beach
flying parellel to coast at a height of 15-20m or so just offshore. Flying north towards Parham, I watched the birds as they disappeared into the distance beyond Parham, showed no signs of slowing or intending to land. A real surprise! (2).

Peregrine Falcon
Shingleback Rd. Dublin, SA
One sitting on fence line below radio tower, flushed as car approached and flew to near top of tower. Second bird sitting on small platform at the top of tower with what looked like two nests situated at very top. (2).

Double-banded Plover, Lesser Sand Plover, Fairy Tern
Thompson Beach
Double-banded Plover: seen foraging and running quickly amongst dead samphire in flooded claypan N/E of last house on nthn. end of beach, associating loosely with Red-necked Stints and Red-capped Plover (2). Lesser Sand Plover: in breeding plumage, sitting on exposed rocky 'reef' on beach at central carpark. Sitting with two Greater Sand Plover (2). Fairy Tern: 33 counted, sitting just north of central carpark area (33).

2 males in breeding plumage (5). Other couple visiting the site had seen a slightly larger number on claypans earlier, in company with Lesser Sand Plovers

Tawny Frogmouth
Backroad near Freeling
One Tawny Frogmouth found perched (hunting) on a low branch down a quiet summer track only, at around 20.45 in the evening.
