Some more pictures to follow (this is a Black Petrel).... also usual Wedge-tailed, Short-tailed and Flesh-footed Shearwaters, Sooty Terns, Wilson's Storm Petrels, Parasitic (Arctic) Jaeger etc. Obviously some of the above records need to be submitted.

Grey-streaked and Dark-sided Flycatcher amongst many highlights
ASHMORE 2010, Western Australia
92 species of bird identified (with another 'warbler' awaiting determination) indicate exceptional diversity. These included 34 seabirds, 28 shorebirds, 6 waterbirds and 21 landbirds. SEABIRD highlights included Abbott's Booby, Jouanin's Petrel, Swinhoe's Storm-Petrel, Lesser, Black and Common Noddy, Roseate Tern (30,000 roosting in the lagoon at the Lacepedes); SHOREBIRD highlights included Long-toed Stint, Wood Sandpiper, Asian Dowitcher; LANDBIRD highlights included Grey-streaked Flycatcher, Dark-sided Flycatcher, Arafura Fantail, Tiger Shrike, Middendorff's Warbler, Island Monarch, Arctic Warbler, Oriental Reed Warbler, Grey Wagtail, Collared Kingfisher, Oriental Cuckoo, Australian Koel, Eastern Yellow Wagtail, Barn Swallow and Yellow White-eye. Photos of many of the species mentioned above have or will be posted on the web site listed in further information.

Ostrich
Moama Barham Road, New South Wales
On the NSW side of the Murray in long grass and purple flowers was a gathering of Ostriches. The GPS was 35°38.244'S, 144°21.714'E. They were on the north side Moama Barham Road 18.2 km from the intersection of Moulamein Rd; or 4.4 km from the intersection with Perricoota Rd (near St Anne's Vineyard). They are unfenced so they may travel up and down the road or away from it.

Channel-billed Cuckoo, Eastern Koel
Metung, East Gippsland, Victoria
Both species now well-established in Metung township: Channel-bill first noted 18 Oct, and Koel at 2.40 am 20 Oct. These have become regular summer visitors to area in last few years.
