Fri 22 Oct	probable. Arabian Shearwaters, Swinhoe's & Matsudaira's Storm Petrels At sea between Darwin and Ashmore Reef, Northern Territory Other species included Bulwer's Petrel and Streaked Shearwater. 	Tiger Shrike, Grey-streaked Flycatcher, Middendorff's Grasshopper Warbler Ashmore Reef, Western Australia Reports for the week ending 22 October. Wed 20 Oct	Nankeen Night Heron Piltati Rockhole, 16km's E. Nyapari Community, APY Lands, South Australia Sighting of a' type of Bittern' were reported to me by local Art Centre coord. Brian Hallett upon returning from a trip with local elders to this very sacred area. I viewed with 3 photos today to help him confirm i.d. and it turns out to be a N.N.H. - still a possible 'first' for this far NW. in South Australia??? Checked the Birdata map/sightings and found nothing close to this area. Brian Hallett, per David Hartland
	White-fronted Tern, Arctic Tern Mordialloc, Victoria White-fronted Tern: (3). Arctic Tern: Didn't recognize it at the time as it was quite distant and I didn't want to disturb the birds unnecessarily, but have subsequently identified it in several photos after comparing it with (better) photos taken by others. Tue 19 Oct	Oriental Pratincole, Pacific Golden Plover, Buff-banded Rail Alice Springs Waste Stabilisation Ponds, Northern Territory Oriental Pratincole: great views; between EP1 and A4 (1). Pacific Golden Plover: great views, appears to have been around for a while now (1). Buff-banded Rail: great views, southern end EP7c, in grass/herbage near dirt pile (1). Michael Green
