Fri 4 Jun Orange-footed Scrubfowl Kirwan, suburb of Townsville
This fledgling bird was found under a Crow's-nest Fern in my garden. It
flew up into a tree above and has stayed for more than 2 hours.

Sat 29 May Shining Flycatcher Ross River Dam (Upper)
One male Shining Flycatcher seen working the lower trunks of Paperbarks
in the levee drain about 300 metres to the west of where the sand-mining
road crests the levee bank. Time: - About 1300hrs (Geographical
Coordinates - Datum GDA - S 19°27'26"; E 146°43'21") First sighting for
us of this species here.
