Hi Jeremy, I don't know if anyone else has suggested it to you, but when I recently asked for information about the Darwin area, several people suggested getting a copy of "Finding Birds in Darwin Kakadu & the Top End" by Niven McCrie and James Watson. There's lots of very specific and useful information about various spots to see birds which are likely to be on people's wish lists. I bought my copy from the very helpful staff of Dymocks in the Casuarina shopping centre in Darwin. I'd like to also put in my vote for Fogg Dam. I haven't stayed there, but the "Eden at Fogg Dam" B&B is well recommended by birders and is literally opposite the entrance to Fogg Dam. http://www.foggdam.com.au/ Regards, Rob ======= Rob Geraghty ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
