I'm with Chris - do they migrate somewhere else? I always assumed Rufous
Fantails were around all year apart from some altitudinal migration...
maybe I need to check my records...
WE Monarchs on the other hand, I haven't seen during winter at all,
altho I assume some do overwinter.
