Dear all,
I was at the Chifley Hotel in Penrith for a couple of nights a fortnightago and on the first night just on dusk, I came out of the hotel to begreeted by the most unearthly cacophony that at first I thought was someear-splitting metal working being done somewhere nearby. It then becameobvious it was coming from hundreds of Rainbow Lorikeets, settling downfor the night in the trees around the hotel. When I came outside againabout half an hour later with darkness approaching, they had settled downto the occasional twittering!
