Went for a walk with a group of (non-birding) friends yesterday to Darks
Point (on the coast north of Hawks Nest, NSW). No sign of any Penguins
despite clambering all over the rocks on the point. Very few birds about at
all, although did see an immaculate Red-capped Plover on the beach and a
Buff-banded Rail and Azure Kingfisher at Bombah Point.
