Interesting approach. However, I just couldn't be bothered going anywhere if
I had to be cluttered up like this fellow. I find it bad enough having to
carry binoculars and my scope rarely goes further than a few metres from my
vehicle. Cameras and other tackle stay in the car.

Have a look at how much stuff this bloke carries:

He has some good ideas for how to attach it all to yourself.

I suppose it must be all worth it in the long run, but it seems that it
was only yesterday that you could go out for a nice days birding with
only binos, notebook and pencil. Now I feel like a Tibetan salt
trader's Yak when I go out laden with enough kit to sink the Hesperus.
But it is fun, isn't it?==========www.birding-aus.org
