Hi All, As part of my wildlife rescue work I trasported a bird from a vet to a carer this evening. The bird was identified by the rescuer as an Arctic Jaeger. As I am not that familiar with pelagic birds I have posted some photos for others to view. The bird was found exhausted at Ricket's point 3 days ago. It apparently could not even stand on it's feet. I believe the bird is an Arctic Yaeger, possibly a juvenile although I would like to be sure. See the photos at http://picasaweb.google.com/pelicanmania/ArcticYaeger# Cheers, Paul Paul Hackett Melbourne Australia 0414355146 ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
