G'day all, has anyone ever seen or heard of a Painted Button-quail pretending it has a broken wing to distract an observer from nearby eggs or chicks? I saw one acting this way today (could not see any nest or chicks nearby though) and was wondering whether the bird might actually have had a broken wing - it seemed to.
