Can't be any worse than Crocs or Buffs. Must admit, I did get a bit
nervous at Tabin Wildlife Reserve, in Sabah a couple of years ago when
the guide pointed out fresh Elephant dung and spoor on the track in
front of us. The guide tried to calm our fear by reminding us that the
Elephants in Sabah are "only little Elephants.

I'll never go birding in the jungle there again, as I did in 1985,

Dear All,
Anyone who might be considering a trip to Fraser's Hill, Malaysia, for
a spot of birding, may be interested in a couple of unusual wildlife
sightings recently.
A melanistic Leopard and a Tigress with cubs have recently been seen
on the lower sections of the new road. A report can be seen at
http://leekeenseong.blogspot.com/2009/09/birding-at-frasers-hill.html
.
It might be best to go birding with someone who can't run as fast as
you.
Cheers,
Carl Clifford
