As far as I am aware Bowra is being sold. The Australian Wildlife Conservancy
people are raising money to buy it so that it can be protected and properly
managed forever. They apparently have a generous supporter who has agreed to
match all donations to enable it to raise the $1 million needed to complete the
purchase. I feel very strongly that this should be supported so that it is not
bought by pastoralists. It is a unique property and needs to be preserved. I
personally have donated money to them and hope that Bowra can be saved. They
say that assuming they can buy it "the property will remain open to
birdwatchers and other nature lovers as a special destination where you can see
iconic birds and learn more about the wildlife of the Mulga Lands". Donations
of course are tax deductible. If anyone is interested in donating their
