Even just aesthetically it would be the best thing that's happened to the
Island since the Woodhens were plucked back from the brink if the rats
could be removed. It's very sinster to walk through the largely empty
forests on the island and have the rats stand still, unafraid, and watch
you as walk by....
(And I say this as someone who has kept pet rats and loved them dearly)
