I avoid taking binoculars to birding locations that are also nudist
venues or beaches.

I wouldn't try this argument on the North Korean border given recent
events. This is only partially a sarcastic statement - since it has
been undisturbed for so long, the DMZ between the north and south has
become a haven for wildlife apparently.

PS Has anyone been able to point at legislation making it illegal to use
binoculars anywhere in Australia?
