I have caught and banded Grey Fantails at Coutts Crossing, north coast NSW,
that, according to the Directory of Australian Birds by Schodde and Mason
are Tasmanian birds. This was determined by comparing the wing to tail
length ratios.
I am also aware of the recovery of a banded Grey Fantail at Taree, north coast NSW, that had been banded in Tasmania. Regards Greg Clancy |
