Hi all
We have hired 4WD vehicles from Europcar in Broome several times to drive
along the Gibb River Road. The main condition, apart from all the insurance
bits and pieces, is that we had to hire a Landcruiser 100 Series.
However, to make the booking, you must call Europcar in Broome direct. If
you contact Europcar's central phone number or website booking service, as I
initially did, you are likely to get quoted chapter and verse about how it
is forbidden to drive off-road, blah blah. When I eventually contacted the
Broome office, they were quite annoyed that their central number was giving
out this information. In fact, they got me to send them the email I received
quoting all this gumpf so they could complain via their Area Manager.
Anyway, they ended up being quite helpful.
