The amount of oil spilt seems to be going up with every news report! Regarding the ammonium nitrate - some people are saying that it is no concern. One guy from Maritime Safety was saying that the stuff is safe because it is plastic wrapped, but did admit to it not being 'waterproof'. However, I have heard that some people are warning that we can expect serious algal blooms further down the track. Great, seeing parts of Moreton and Deception Bay already experience problems with Lynbya blooms.
