Greetings,There were six Brolga (a bit early), a Black Swan, half a dozen Black Duck, similar numbers of A White Ibis, numerous Masked Lapwing and at least 14 snipe on Sorenson Road north of Kairi yesterday afternoon. the day before a female Painted Snipe was seen and I think I may have heard one yesterday but have little confidence in my ears at times. The snipe were assumed to be Swinhoe's as that is what a number of birders saw on Thursday and the behaviour was consistent with that species.
