Thanks to those who replied. There isn't a whole lot of info available on the 
bird life on cook island but i did find some data on the NSW wildlife atlas 
page. 18 species of bird have been recorded on the island including a pre 1980 
record of a little bittern. I imagine its a place not many birders visit so it 
may or may not offer a few surprises. Weather and permits permitting i plan to 
make the mad dash over sometime over easter and if anything...It will be a 
mornings birding with a difference...Regards all....John
