Hi All Have finally got around to uploading additional (post moult) Moseley's Rockhopper Penguin to my flickr site www.flickr.com/photos/chrisbaxterki/ . First ones were of bird moulting. Last pics are of a bird in splendid new plumage. Approached this bird closely to get pics and other details on request of penguin expert Ken Simpson. He has now confirmed species id as that listed here. This was at Cape Du Couedic on SW tip of Kangaroo Island, SA. Second lot of pics were taken on 9 Feb 09 and this was also the last time the bird was seen. Hope it makes it back home to Amsterdam/St Paul Islands in middle of Indian Ocean on about same latitude as KI Cheers Chris Baxter =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
