Hi Penny,

I've birded lots of places. All depends on your time and how far you wish to
travel.

My favourite is the treatment ponds at Nusa Dua!! Check Birdpedia.com for
the reserve under the Indonesia section for a few trips I loaded up.
Not far is the Nusa Dua golf course where you'll find Iora's, Tailorbirds,
etc
Also:
The Bali Bird walk in Ubud,
Uluwatu Temple / or resort for Sea birds. Frigate, boobies, tropicbirds etc
Most Hotels you will find Munias, and other smaller birds
Hotel Jayakarta, Legian has resident White-breasted Woodswallow.
Out to see from Kuta northwards, plenty of seabirds

Further a field:
Bedugal Botanic Gardens,
Bali Barat National Park / Menjangan Island.

Then over the strait to Java.... etc etc.

Cheers

Steve and Paul

Thanks very much for the info. Will follow up with Amazon and Andrew Isles.

Colin Trainor also suggested the following and included his trip reports
which I have yet to look at - thanks very much Colin. Always useful to
see what others found and where.

Steve - would like to see your trip reports also.

Will email a trip report when return end July.

The Victor Mason guide is not comprehensive, but its handy for general
birding.
A couple of trip reports attached. Benoa harbour can be very good for waders
- Little Ringed Plover, Eurasian Curlew, perhaps Dowitcher....
