Hi all

Nikolas mentioned the Victoria Park group of corellas in inner Sydney
which have been very active and in large number over the past couple of
weeks. The evening roosting activity at Victoria Park is fantastic -
right on busy City Road. After an absence of several months I am now
seeing small groups of these birds daily in nearby Redfern and around
Central Station as they disperse to feed. As per Nikolas's note, this
flock appears to consist entirely or almost entirely of Little Corellas.
I looked through about 70 of the birds last weekend, and the many flying
over Redfern daily, and couldnt find a Long-billed. However a
Long-billed flock which often seems to number around 40-50 can usually
be seen in nearby Centennial Park about 2 kms away.
Last Saturday 14 Feb in addition to the Victoria Park birds I also saw a
large scattered flock of Little Corellas in Cabramatta-Canley Vale and
another flock of at least 50+ birds near Beverly Hills. Another large
flock I have been seeing regularly in recent months is the one at
McGraths Hill which usually seems to be around the Hawkesbury Valley Way
overpass in the late afternoons. This one often numbers over 150 and
seems to be mostly Littles but there are Long-billeds amongst them.
