Hi all, So many dead birds suggest to me more a sick mind somewhere in the school area than an accidental poisoning. The obvious - and usual - suspects would be local youths or an aggrieved householder upset by the birds' noise or feeding (say, on the householder's trees). The latter may possibly be traced through past complaints about the birds. As an inappropriate antidote to my earnestness - and to cloying eulogies to nature - may I commend to all the old Tom Lehrer song, Poisoning Pigeons in the Park. The golden mean lies in between. Cheers from soggy Ingham, Tony Ashton ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
