Diana (Bryant) and I visited Fairy Dell in East Gippsland on Sunday morning (our first visit) - a lovely spot with interesting birds to be found. In keeping with the recent spate of sightings of Topknot Pigeons in eastern Victoria we counted 20 Topknots in a tall tree above the walking track on the way back from the Dell. Other species of interest included Rose Robin, Brown Gerygone, Bassian Thrush, Wonga Pigeon (with several more calling) & probable Red-browed Treecreeper.
